America's Top 10 Outstanding Women Fashion Designers!

Alena is a German designer who founded her own clothing company in the United States in 2018.

The new working day starts with checking emails and keeping in touch with buyers and retailers.

During the first phase of creating a collection, most of the day is spent doing design work. There will even be a week or two dedicated to processing orders at the office and concentrating on drawing and organizing everything.

When Alena's design work is all done, production begins. During this phase, mornings are spent on doing crafts and cutting.

Around 12:00-14:00 it's time for a short break and Alena goes to her favorite restaurant for lunch. Sometimes she will also meet friends there for about an hour, after which she will return to the clothing studio.

When she returns to the studio, she often receives a delivery package. This is the best part of Alena's day, as she will see the latest hand embroidery samples arrive from India.

Next, Alena spends some time looking at and admiring them and making sure they are ready to use in her designs.

At this point there was a person knock on the door and it was one of Alena's young models who had come to help Alena try on her latest outfit, adjusting the skirt hem, sleeve length, etc. as appropriate.

Before the model leaves, Alena wants her to try on a complete outfit for the season. When you've spent a long time creating a look of your own, it's exciting and satisfying to see the model standing in front of you in a complete outfit, even if you've seen the sample a million times. This is the essential professionalism of a good designer.

In the afternoon, Alena goes to the factory to do the cutting and making of the garments. Once the embroidery is shipped from India and the fabric, accessories and samples are ready, the finished garments are made there. Alena goes over periodically to discuss some of the designs and make some adjustments or modifications.

Alena also regularly attends Fashion Week, which is one of the four major fashion weeks in the world, along with Paris, Milan and London Fashion Week, and is held twice a year, in February for the fall/winter season and in September for the spring/summer season. In recent years, New York Fashion Week has been sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, so it is also known as "Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week".

Alena would love to have her work showcased and recognized at New York Fashion Week, and that's her goal!

After Alena finishes work, she usually goes to play tennis with friends or does yoga at home. Exercise is the best way to relax after a long day of work, which will lead to a good night's sleep.
