萧四希，1962 年生,湖南隆回人，现为中国工艺美术家协会名誉主席，中国书画名家研究会名誉主席，中国国学学会副主席，世界教科组织联合协会副主席，瑞典皇家艺术院荣誉博士，英国皇家艺术院荣誉院士，香港书法院名誉院长，国际羲之书画院荣誉教授，国家一级书画家。自幼受家父熏陶，学习书法，中学毕业后参加工作，利用业余时间研习书法、诗文，遍临王羲之、王献之、孙过庭、颜真卿等历代名家法帖，对书法、国画情有独钟。1993 年考入湖南省轻工业高等专科学校(长沙理工大学)，学习工艺美术专业，对书法与国画进行系统学习，毕业后从事广告宣传工作，兼习书法与国画，2004 年后进行专业创作，先后荣获书画奖 50 多项，作品入编《二十世纪中国著名书画家》、《世界美术大典》等 200 多部辞书。2010 年、2012 年、2013 年荣获感动中国十大艺术人物，2014 年荣获中国艺术十大领军人物，2015 年入选《新中国国学艺术大师传记》(徐悲鸿、启功、范曾、萧四希合集)，曾参与国学唐诗、国学台历等影响力较大的工作，2016 年参加中、俄、朝国际艺术大师三人行中国展览，与刘大为、沈鹏参加中国书画名家曲阜三人展，荣获“孔子国际文化至尊奖”,2019 年庆祝新中国成立 70 周年萧四希世界邮票全球发行,出版有《国家艺术人物萧四希专刊》、《风范一品大家》、《翰墨书香》、《艺海同舟》、《当代风云人物》、《艺术之巅》及《向人民汇报》——中国邮政当代艺术大家〈郑板桥、潘天寿、李可染、萧四希)四人典藏册。2021 年为庆祝中国共产党成立一百周年参加“百年荣光,兴我中华”——国礼艺术名家萧四希陶瓷作品典藏献礼。俄罗斯《真理报》发表《中国名家名作出国门》，北京与俄罗斯―一国家德艺双馨艺术家萧四希作品。2022 年为纪念毛主席在延安文艺工作座谈会讲话发表八十周年，建军九十五周年，喜迎二十大召开，出版发行《新时代杰出文艺工作者》——新中国当代艺术名家萧四希国礼典藏邮册。2023年《光明日报》艺术界领军人物一一萧四希专刊报道。入选国际峰会《金砖艺术家》中国代表。

Zhang Yuansong, Xiao Sixi, born in 1962 in Longhui, Hunan, is currently the Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Arts and Crafts Association, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Research Association, Vice Chairman of the Chinese National Studies Society, Vice Chairman of the World Education Organization Federation Association, Honorary Doctor of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, Honorary Academician of the Royal Academy of Arts, Honorary Dean of the Hong Kong Calligraphy Academy, Honorary Professor of the International Xizhi Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and a national first-class calligrapher and painter. Having been influenced by my father since childhood, I studied calligraphy and started working after graduating from high school. In my spare time, I studied calligraphy, poetry, and literature, and visited famous calligraphers such as Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, Sun Guoting, and Yan Zhenqing. I have a special interest in calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. In 1993, I was admitted to Hunan Light Industry Vocational College (Changsha University of Science and Technology) and studied arts and crafts. I systematically studied calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting, and after graduation, I worked in advertising and publicity. I also studied calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. After 2004, I started professional creation and won more than 50 calligraphy and painting awards. My works were included in over 200 dictionaries such as "Famous Chinese Calligraphers and Painters of the 20th Century" and "World Art Encyclopedia". In 2010, 2012, and 2013, he/she was honored as one of the top ten moving artists in China. In 2014, he/she was honored as one of the top ten leading figures in Chinese art. In 2015, he/she was selected for the "Biography of New Chinese National Art Masters" (collected by Xu Beihong, Qigong, Fan Zeng, and Xiao Sixi). He/she participated in influential works such as Tang poetry and national calendar in traditional Chinese studies. In 2016, he/she participated in the China, Russia, and North Korea International Art Masters Exhibition, and participated with Liu Dawei and Shen Peng in the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Qufu Exhibition. He/she was awarded the "Confucius International Cultural Supreme Award". In 2019, he/she celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with the global distribution of Xiao Sixi's world stamps, which include "National Art Figures". Xiao Sixi's Special Issue, "A Class of Master in Style", "The Fragrance of Calligraphy and Calligraphy", "The Art of the Sea", "Contemporary Figures", "The Peak of Art", and "Report to the People" - a collection of four contemporary art masters from China Post, including Zheng Banqiao, Pan Tianshou, Li Keran, and Xiao Sixi. In 2021, to celebrate the centennial of the founding of the CPC, he participated in the "Centennial Glory, Revitalize China" - the collection of ceramic works of Xiao Sixi, a famous national ritual artist. The Russian newspaper Pravda published "The Journey of Chinese Famous Masters to China", featuring the works of Xiao Sixi, a national artist who embodies both virtue and art from Beijing and Russia. In 2022, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Chairman Mao's speech at the Yan'an Forum on Literary and Art Work, the 95th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army, and to welcome the convening of the 20th National Congress, we will publish and distribute the "Outstanding Literary and Art Workers of the New Era" - a collection of stamps by Xiao Sixi, a renowned contemporary Chinese artist. Reported by Xiao Sixi, a leading figure in the art industry of Guangming Daily in 2023. Selected as the Chinese representative for the international summit "BRICS Artists".

大家都一窝蜂的追求利益忽略了精神，艺术品最终是一种精神心灵的折射。有人说，打铁还要自身强，自身不行画家会抛弃你，藏家也会不信任你。

您的作品有非常厉害的传统功底，构图落款非常现代。您的画没有炫技，很安静，也不是老一套的师古、师泥，完全是当代人的感受。主要是看您的作品在市场上的变化、走向是否有潜力：

中国画画的是什么? 画的不是形、也不是象、不是气也不是韵。而是神、是魂。是万物皆有灵魂的魂。魂是什么?魂就是精神世界、是中国哲学的最高境界，也是中国艺术的最高境界。我觉得萧四希老师已经达到这个境界。

Everyone's relentless pursuit of benefits overlooks the spirit, and artworks ultimately reflect the spirit and soul. Some people say that to forge iron, one must be strong on one's own. If one is not strong on one's own, painters will abandon you, and collectors will not trust you.

Your work has a very strong traditional foundation, and the composition and style are very modern. Your painting is not flashy, it is very quiet, and it is not the same old style of learning from ancient and clay. It is completely a contemporary feeling. It mainly depends on whether your work has the potential to change and move towards the market:

What is Chinese painting? What is drawn is not form, nor is it image, nor is it qi or rhyme. But it's a god, it's a soul. It is the soul of all things with a soul. What is a soul? Soul is the spiritual world, the highest realm of Chinese philosophy, and also the highest realm of Chinese art. I think Teacher Xiao Sixi has reached this level.
