Finals and Award Ceremony of Shijiazhuang Overseas Talent In

Recently, the Finals and Award Ceremony of the Shijiazhuang Overseas Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to a successful conclusion.

The event was guided by the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Provincial Foreign Experts Bureau) and the Shijiazhuang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology (Municipal Foreign Experts Bureau), hosted by the Science and Technology Bureau of Shijiazhuang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, and undertaken by the Hebei (Shijiazhuang) Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Talents.

The 30 projects that advanced to the finals of this competition presented their projects in the form of "8-minute roadshow + 7-minute defense". Experts from the review panel raised questions about each project’s product technology, core highlights, market prospects and business model, and scored and evaluated the projects based on their performance. After fierce competition, a total of 6 winning projects were selected.

A leader from the Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology attended the event and delivered a speech. He stated that this competition has gathered many high-quality overseas projects and participating teams, covering three major fields: biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, and new-generation information technology. It fully demonstrates the unique advantages and strong development potential of overseas projects. He expressed the expectation that more overseas projects will take root in Shijiazhuang in the future, helping to accelerate the landing and transformation of high-quality overseas innovation project results.

The Shijiazhuang Overseas Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is not only a concentrated review and recognition of high-quality overseas innovation projects and talents, but also builds an important bridge for Shijiazhuang in terms of overseas talent exchange and cooperation, and the transformation of innovation achievements. The wisdom and project resources gathered in this competition will become a new driving force for promoting the upgrading of Shijiazhuang’s key industries such as biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, and new-generation information technology, and also inject strong confidence into the city’s efforts to attract more overseas talents to settle and develop here.
